The Network of Executive Women is opening doors for women to the consumer products and retail industry with new scholarships for 2013.

These annual merit scholarships are awarded to outstanding college and university students in food, retail and consumer products-related programs in the United States by the industry’s largest diversity action organization.

If you qualify -- or know a qualified female student interested in a career in food, retailing or consumer products management -- visit our scholarship website at newonline.org/scholarships. Or email Nathalia Granger, the Network’s director of operations at ngranger@newonline.org.

Prerequisites

NEW invites all full-time female graduate students or undergraduate students (junior year or higher) who are U.S. citizens and enrolled in a retail, food or consumer packaged goodsrelated program at a U.S. college or university to apply. You must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Include with application:

  • current résumé
  • essay (one-page, double-spaced typewritten statement explaining why you merit this scholarship and outlining your retail/CPG industry interests)
  • copy of official college/university grade transcript
  • two letters of recommendation (one from a food, retail or CPG industry manager, and one from an industry-related professor)
