Over the winter break in January, Assistant Professor of Marketing Gulnur Tumbat climbed the highest mountain in
the South American continent, Aconcagua (22,841ft), which is also the highest
mountain outside of the Himalayas. She did the climb solo without a guide or
a team.
She is the first Turkish woman to reach the summit. She was also able
