Graduate Student awarded Alumni Association Scholarship
News + Events : Graduate Student awarded Alumni Association Scholarship
Edward Pakdaman, an MBA candidate with a concentration in International Business, has been awarded a $1,000 Graduate Scholarship from the SFSU Alumni Scholarship Association.
Edward has studied in the Netherlands through an SFSU program. He speaks English and Farsi fluently and has studied Hebrew, Mandarin, Spanish, and Zulu. Before coming to SFSU, he was a student at a "traveling high school" where students would study a specific culture and language for the first seven months and then travel to that country. He chose not one, but several...China, South Africa, Swaziland and Zimbabwe, traveling to all of them!
In Africa, he visited poverty stricken townships and helped build schools out of dirt, rocks, and home-made cement. He was deeply affected by all of these experiences and wants to "make a difference in the world". His goal is to "be involved in any form of international trade".
Congratulations, Edward!
