Yan Sun, a second-year MSBA candidate with a concentration in Accounting, received a
scholarship from the Financial Women’s Association of San Francisco at the Association’s annual luncheon on August 17. Yan was one of just eight graduate students from around the Bay Area who received a scholarship, competing with students from Stanford, Berkeley and other universities.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /?>

Yan emigrated from China with her husband and young daughter. She graduated from Zhong Shan University with a BS in Business Economics. Yan had eight years of work experience with Oracle and Lucent before moving to the United States. She is currently working at United Commercial Bank, and spending time with her family.
