On Oct. 28, at the Books in Browsers conference, Information Systems Professor Sameer Verma demonstrated a BookServer that can serve up to 500 users, permitting locations with scarce network and electrical capacity to have access to over 20,000 ebooks in a single device, and is designed to work with One Laptop Per Child networks.
