News + Events : Asst. Professor of Marketing Gulnur Tumbat in the News
Marketing Professor Gulnur Tumbat's recent article, "Marketplace Tensions in Extraordinary Experiences" in the A-level Journal of Consumer Research, received the Sidney J. Levy Award for second place for best dissertation article published within the consumer culture theory field.
The award is given based on contribution to knowledge in- and outside of consumer culture theory (CCT), conciseness, and potential to shape the course of CCT and marketing in the future.
Gulnur received the award at Northwestern University during Consumer Culture Theory Conference in July 2011.
The Sidney J. Levy Award competition is held annually in honor of one of the founding fathers of Consumer Culture Theory. The award is given to the best CCT dissertation article published in the preceding year.
