Associate Professor of Marketing Subin Im and Assistant Professor of Marketing Minu Kumar served as track chairs for the New Product Design and Development, Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship Track at the annual AMA Summer Educators Conference, held this year in San Francisco August 5 through August 7.
As a part of their duties, they performed all editorial work for the track, managed submitted manuscripts, assigned reviewers, ruled on which papers would be accepted, and played an important role in setting the agenda for the conference.
At the conference, Professors Subin and Professor Kumar chaired the session, "The Genesis, Past, Present and Future of Market Orientation (MO) Research in New Product Development and Innovation Management: A 20-Year Review." This session featured a main panel that included MO researchers Stanley Slater, John Narver, Ajay Kohli, and Bernard Jaworsky, and a discussion panel that included Robert Leone, V Kumar and Ahmet Kirca. The session drew a packed house and plentiful plaudits from attendees.
