For the eleventh consecutive year, SF State’s Hospitality and Tourism Management Department has awarded scholarship funds to students pursuing careers in hospitality.
Scholarship Recipients
For the 2012-2013 academic year, the recipients of the Bill Kimpton Hospitality Scholarships are Alex Tran and Reann Yurman.
Recipients of the Lawrence Chan Scholarships (total amount $1,000) for the 2012-2013 academic year are Kathleen Downing, Ching-Wen Wang and Xiaoyun Zhang.
About the Scholarships
The Bill Kimpton Hospitality Scholarship Fund assists promising hospitality and tourism management students with a focus in hotel operations and who aspire to join Kimpton Hotels and Restaurant’s management training program after graduation. Scholarship recipients must be full-time students at SF State, maintain a minimum 2.65 GPA, and have a financial need.
Lawrence Chan Scholarships are awarded to SF State Hospitality and Tourism Management students (with a focus in Hotel Operations Management) who maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA in their coursework, demonstrate leadership, and have work experience and career goals in the hospitality industry.
