Through Friday, October 8, 2010, the Vista Room is serving food from Koi Palace, with students in the kitchen being assisted by three Koi Palace chefs, which has been named one of the top 100 restaurants in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Chronicle.

Koi Palace Owner Willy Ng said he wanted SF State students to gain experience working with Asian cuisine. "My purpose is to help educate the students about different kinds of food," Ng said, "and experience working in a Chinese kitchen.

For the first time, Vista Room diners were treated to dim sum appetizer plates, and other Asian fusion dishes and desserts. The experience has been popular with diners. The Vista Room has been booked to capacity Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. A few reservations remain for Thursday and Friday. The Vista Room will also serve Koi Palace cuisine from Nov. 15 to 19, 2010.

The Vista Room is located on the fourth floor of Burk Hall and provides Hospitality and Tourism Management students with experience in a fine dining setting. To make Vista Room reservations, visit http://cob.sfsu.edu/cob/vista-room/reservations/
