Theresa Hammond, associate professor of accounting, spoke about her book, A White-Collar Profession: African-American Certified Public Accountants Since 1921, (University of North Carolina Press, 2002), at a benefit for the Richard Austin Fund for Accounting Excellence at Wayne State University.
The benefit, where she was the keynote speaker, was held in the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History. Theresa also spoke about her book at Black History Month celebrations held at Ernst & Young LLP in both their San Francisco and Minneapolis offices.
