A paper based on a project report by a team of MBA students has been accepted for presentation at the 4th CSU Community Based Research Conference to be held March 5, 2010 in Berkeley, CA. The paper resulted from a project in MKTG 860 Strategic Marketing taught by Marketing Professor Sudbodh Bhat in fall 2009.
Mr. Daniel Homsey, of the City of San Francisco City Administrator’s Office, represented the client, the Ingleside Police department, which faced the challenge of how to better communicate with local residents, with an emphasis on those who don’t speak English, in order to improve their services.
The team, which included Nicole Sroka (team leader), Maraya Hull, Jennifer Chi, Yingxia Xie, and Raymond Tam, developed a strategic communication strategy for the San Francisco Police Department and presented it to police representatives at the end of the semester where it was received as excellent and valuable to the department.
Mr. Homsey and student team leader Nicole Sroka will present the project at the conference.
