The College of Business is pleased to introduce six tenure-track faculty members to the departments of accounting, hospitality and tourism management, and management.

Daniela Balkanska

Daniela Balkanska

Assistant Professor of Finance

Daniela Balkanska earned her Ph.D. in management at UC Irvine, specializing in finance. Her primary research is in behavioral finance with special emphasis on the disposition effect behavior of individual investors. Her other research interests lie in empirical asset pricing. Her teaching interests and experience include investments, corporate finance, and international finance. Daniela is originally from Bulgaria.

Todd Feldman

Assistant Professor of Finance

Ph.D. in International Economics and Finance, University of California, Santa Cruz, 2009; M.A. in International Economics and Finance, University of California, Santa Cruz, 2006; M.S. in Applied Economics, University of California, Davis, June 2004; B.S. in Finance & Accounting, SUNY Binghamton, May 1999

Andrew Walls

Andrew Walls

Assistant Professor of Hospitality and Tourism Management

Andrew Walls comes to SF State from the Rosen College of Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida, where he earned his Ph.D. in hospitality management and tourism. He has experience teaching hospitality operations, communications and sales and marketing. Research interests lie in the areas of hospitality consumer behavior, sales and marketing and consumer experiences. Additionally, Andrew has over 18 years of senior management experience in the hotel and convention and visitor’s bureau organizations.


Jennifer Tosti-Kharas

Jennifer Tosti-Kharas

Assistant Professor of Management

Jennifer Tosti-Kharas received her Ph.D. in management from the Stern School of Business, New York University. Her research interests include professional identity, the meaning of work, employee response to involuntary job loss, and career development. She has taught organizational behavior, team dynamics and corporate social responsibility, and will teach organizational behavior at SF State. Prior to entering academia, Jennifer worked as a strategy consultant at Accenture, specializing in communications, media and entertainment industries.

Charlotte Fillol

Assistant Professor of Management

Ph.D. in Management, Paris Dauphine; M.A. in Management and Information Systems, Paris Dauphine; B.A. in Management, Paris Dauphine, Human Resources major.

Research interests include individual learning, organizational learning and learning organizations; individual and organizational identity, identification and self; communities of practice

>Anne Koch

Anne Koch

Assistant Professor of Management

Anne Koch joins SF State from the University of Sussex in England. Previously, she was a research fellow at UC Berkeley. She received her Ph.D. in economic and social sciences from University of Luneburg in Germany. She has taught strategic management, global new product development, and management of organizations. Her research interests include research and new product development, organizational alignment, and learning in companies.
