Message from the Marketing Department Chair
As the incoming Chair of the Marketing Department in the College of Business at San Francisco State, I am happy to welcome you to our website and our department.
Severe budget cuts at SFSU and the College of Business have reduced our department’s ability to serve students. All of us in the department are trying hard to maintain a quality program and offer the courses our students need. We have had to cancel some classes and increase the class size in several courses. Despite these restrictions we will try to continue to give you personal attention when you have concerns about your coursework, your academic plan, and your career in marketing.

Our department office is located in the Science building, Room 300 close to my office, SCI 366. In addition, we have business advisors in the College of Business' Student Services Center (BUS 112) who are trained academic counselors specializing in undergraduate matters such as major and minor requirements, registration, probation, and graduation. For graduate advising needs, the College of Business' Graduate Programs Office (located at the San Francisco State University Downtown Campus) continues to provide exceptional service and support.
Finally, our faculty is committed to the notion that in today’s business environment, there is no function more important, or exciting, than marketing, and we encourage you to come talk to us about the courses we teach and the career opportunities that lie ahead for you in this field.
