SPEAKER BIOS
Larry Ellison
Larry Ellison, the trailblazing co-founder and CEO of Oracle, the leading supplier of business software and information management, will share what he believes consistent commitment to innovation means.  Over the past three decades Oracle has met many challenges and remains the largest business software company in the world. Founded by Ellison in 1977, Oracle specializes in developing and marketing enterprise software products. Oracle has become a major force in the software market. In 2007, the company had the third-largest software revenue, behind only Microsoft and IBM.

Steve Levitt and Stephen Dubner
Freakonomics co-authors Levitt and Dubner will reveal more of  “the good, bad, ugly and super freaky” of the world around us. The two journalists/co- authors, who will be honored with Inforum's next 21st Century Visionary Award, will seek to enhance our understanding of causality in our highly interconnected world. An award-winning economist, Levitt is currently a professor at the University of Chicago, director of the Becker Center on Chicago Price Theory at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and co-editor of the Journal of Political Economy. In 2006, he was named one of Time’s "100 People Who Shape Our World.” Dubner, an award-winning journalist who has written for The New York Times, The New Yorker, Time, is also the author of two previous best-selling books, Turbulent Souls and Confessions of a Hero-Worshipper.
