The company currently operates 6 separate branded retail storefronts and has been on its present eCommerce platform for the past 2+ years. In the past, responsibilities were spread out across departments, this new position centralizes the responsibilities.

The Business Systems Manager will be the owner of the eCommerce platform (commercial and hosted) and will take the lead in strategy and development of the site, managing support issues with the vendor(s), implementing changes in site functionality, and integration with the backoffice ERP system.

The individual will work closely with the stakeholders to identify, define, and develop solutions to improve the customer experience for the group's websites.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead in researching new features, what's possible, and then working with the vendor to implement approved changes
  • Work in tandem with our design and marketing teams to implement sales campaigns
  • Work with all stakeholders to launch new partner sites
  • Managing coupons, source codes and setting up tables in the Administration interface
  • Ensure proper integration exists between the storefronts and the back office ERP system so that products are correctly represented and transactions are accurate
  • Manage support issues with the vendor(s)
  • Quality Assurance and acceptance testing for all support fixes and new releases
  • Monitor and reporting on site analytics
Skills & Abilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 3-5 years of progressively increasing responsibility with an 'online' environment (web, digital, ecommerce, etc.)
  • Initiative--you must bring an intellectual curiosity to the game so you can figure out what can be done and where technology is going
  • Thorough understannding of retail ecommerce landscape, including 'best practice' features and functionality
  • Detail-oriented--you have to be able to find the needle in the haystack, to find the bits that no one else notices
  • The ability to negotiate concensus since you will be interacting with several diverse groups with sometimes conflicting interests for the best use of limited resources.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Understanding of software testing methodologies and software development life cycle process
  • Familiarity with System Integration
  • Understanding of A/B testing design and execution Understanding of web technology fundamentals
  • Ability to work individually and as a team Excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what is necessary to accomplish goals
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem solving skills

Desirable Qualifications:

Some familiarity with the wine industry is desirable but not essential. Have experience in automated testing and continuous integration. Experience with security standards, such as HIPAA, PCI, ISO.x, etc.
