Financial Analysts are responsible for working with the Finance team to provide financial management and financial support across all functions (Corporate G&A, Sales, Business Groups, Manufacturing, and specialist areas).

These roles will provide hands-on experience in analyzing actual results and developing financial plans for a specific function, with the opportunity to rotate every 1-2 years into new roles with career progression.

Analysts will work to develop a thorough knowledge of the business areas they support, will meet on a regular basis with managers of other groups to analyze current results, discuss future plans and provide the necessary analysis and reports for the function heads.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial data, summarize, and provide a concise and meaningful narrative discussion of variances for quarterly reporting and ad hoc analysis
  • Facilitate the preparation, reporting, and analysis of annual plans, quarterly rolling forecasts, and quarterly estimates
  • Assist in the month-end close (i.e. accrual preparation, variance analysis, etc.)
  • Assist in developing financial models to support business decisions, significant transactions, and explore financial impacts of potential opportunities
  • Maintain strong lines of communication within the finance team to raise issues and identify trends in a timely manner
  • Act as a point of contact for business partners within their functions to provide day to day finance support and perspective to develop accurate budgets and analyze actual results against forecast and plan
  • Build strong working relationships with business partners with a proactive approach to stay attuned to changes in their respective functions and provide insight for decision making
  • Take a significant role in identifying system and process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness
Skills & Abilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Economics with an emphasis in finance or accounting with a strong GPA
  • Relevant work experience
  • Proven ability to interpret financial data with excellent analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to identify trends and interpret data and translate into actionable information
  • Strong desire to solve problems and enthusiastic about learning
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to effectively communicate to senior level personnel both verbally and in writing
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial theory
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools (Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Team oriented and interpersonal skills (ability to collaborate cross functionally)
  • Strong attention to detail
