Responsibilities:

The Technical Support Intern will be responsible for assisting the Support Engineers with a variety of needs in the Technical Support Department.

Duties include:

  • Answer, document, and accurately update support requests in our help desk system.
  • Maintain communication with clients on the status of all open requests. All responses should be professional, complete, well formatted, and consistent with prior communications.
  • Manage personal queue of open requests.
  • Proactively seek to exceed client expectations to achieve high client satisfaction ratings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Interest in learning troubleshooting skills
  • Assist in reducing support load by writing on-line support materials (FAQ's and Documentation)
  • Practice proper escalation protocol.
  • Capable of flourishing in both structured and un-structured environments.
  • A passion for music.

We're looking for a music-loving, tech-savvy, ass-kicking intern to add to our Technical Support Team. We offer the right candidate the opportunity to work with a really diverse, fun group of people in the ever-changing music-tech space!

THE JOB

As a growing company, there’s plenty of work to go around. So, this isn’t the place for you if your idea of the perfect internship is sitting at your desk playing solitaire and obsessively checking Facebook. This is an awesome opportunity for a Bay Area college student to learn practical applications of technical support and what life at a start-up is really like. We have a most excellent team and expect any addition that we make to the team to be equally as awesome. Did we mention that this is also a paying gig? That means extra money in your pocket for books, concert tickets and other fun stuff!

AND YOU ARE?

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Bay Area college student (Freshman, Sophomore or Junior level) that are capable of devoting at least 20 hours a week to coming into our HQ.
  • Positive attitude and a dedication to learning the ropes. We’re all about a fun work environment, but we also need you to put your nose to the grindstone without being asked twice.
  • Computer Science, Music Technology, or similar major.
  • Enthusiastic about working with help desk environments (Zendesk) and conducting research to handle technical support requests.
  • Tech-savvy, music lovers. As we’re a digital music service, knowledge of digital media is key.
  • Proficiency with basic computer programs like Microsoft Office, iTunes and Windows Media Player.
  • Effective communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Supreme organization skills and a devotion to deadlines.
