Responsibilities:

 


  • Enter orders into computer system and pull reports for Account Executives.

  • Distribution of daily reports.

  • Checking contracts with order entry.

  • Checking on preemptions and technical exceptions.

  • Take orders and avail requests from buyers.

  • Provide times to clients and trouble shooting of problems that clients might have.

  • Back up other sales assistants as necessary.

  • Participate in and contribute to sales coordinated events.

  • Clerical duties for Account Executives including but not limited to: expense reports, and posting client schedules.

  • Work with managers as necessary for typing, filing and phone coverage when required.

  • May be called upon to provide station switchboard relief.

  • Answering phones in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Two years college preferred or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales orders, written instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Experience with computer keying and experience in/familiarity with broadcasting. Minimum 50-wpm typing speed. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Medialine, and word processing equipment. Needs to be proficient in Excel, Word and Power Point. Must have excellent communication skills both in person and on the telephone. Must be personable, demonstrate initiative, and be a self-starter. Ability to interact well with AE's, buyers and clients is essential.
