Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage social media sites, alerts, and blog; research and coordinate the appropriate response in a timely, effective manner.
  • Research and analyze new social media trends, sites, tools, and news; report to Senior Marketing Manager on significant industry developments/make recommendations for how to best support clients. Provide reports on success (and challenges) of all social media efforts.
  • Create engaging and original content that creates conversations, including writing blog posts/tweets/updates, etc.
  • Create a content calendar based on solid research; execute the plan, which may include writing, taking pictures, shooting video, etc.
  • Find qualified users and key influencers to follow/friend/like our business through the use of paid and non-paid advertising efforts.
  • Track the growth and the impact of social media on our business.
  • Assist in updating the website, as needed.
Skills & Abilities:
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of social media platforms including (but not limited to) Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, Google+, Instagram, and Vine.
  • Passionate about Social Media – a personal blog or website is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and strong editing skills.
  • Energy, with a desire to come up with fresh ideas on how to grow our online presence.
  • Ability to identify a target market and “speak” to that consumer through social media.
  • Ability to contribute individually, and participate in cross-functional teams.
  • Friendly and conversational.
  • Must be detail oriented, a team player, and technologically savvy.
  • An understanding of SEO.
  • Be creative with an eye for design.
  • Must be comfortable with Microsoft Products.
  • Knowledge of digital media software – Photoshop or other graphic design software, etc. is preferred.
  • Knowledge of video editing software – iMovie, Final Cut, or Windows Live Movie Maker is a plus.
