Responsibilities:

The social media manager intern will assist in creating and maintaing all social media for IndieFund.It along with any other marketing and fundraising projects that IndieFund.It is currently overseeing.

Skills & Abilities:

The ideal intern is: organized, self-motivated, social media savvy and attentive individual who is willing to take the initiative, solve problems and gets tasks done efficiently. An interest in film is a plus; however, it is not required. Should be proficient in: Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and all forms of internet based communication and Social Media. I.E. facebook, twitter, tumbler, WordPress etc...

Details:

The social media manager intern will create and manage online social media accounts (such as facebook and twitter) that promote the various independent film and commercial projects that IndieFund.It is overseeing.

Coverage for events such as launch parties for kickstarter campaigns or updates on how a campaign is going will be updated through and promoted by the various social media sights that the social media manager will be overseeing.

For example, the social media manager would upload photos from a launch party or fundraising event onto a website and or facebook page that is promoting the event. They would also update all social media sights with any media coverage of the event. If there is an article or blog posting about how an event went then the social media manager would take the article or blog and post it on all of the social media sites that we created to promote the event.

In addition, the social media manager will write posts detailing and promoting event coverage. Even though the internship positions will be unpaid this is a great opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in marketing as well as build up a resume and network. Internship Hours and location will be determined after interviews have been conducted and the intern hired.
