Are you looking for local ways to address climate and energy issues?

The Alliance to Save Energy’s PowerSave Green Campus Program at UC San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking area students who are passionate about sustainability and what they can do to help reduce energy, water and waste across UCSF’s city campuses.

We’re looking to quickly fill this position, which is open to both graduate and undergraduate students from UCSF (including post docs), SF State, USF and the Presidio School.

UCSF PowerSave Green Campus interns comprise a team that supports the campus’ Office of Sustainability and its LivingGreen brand and related initiatives. Interns commit up to 10 hours per week, compensated at $11 per hour.

The program offers a high degree of flexibility in terms of how team members work to implement campus-based resource efficiency projects carbon emissions reductions and related awareness building, in addition to attending weekly team meetings and contributing to effective team dynamics.

Applicants Must:

  • be currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or post doc program at UCSF, SF State, USF or the Presidio School
  • possess excellent written and oral communications skills
  • be an organized self-starter and have excellent time management skills
  • demonstrate data analysis proficiency
  • have leadership and teamwork experience
  • be available to commit up to 10 hours/week

Desired Qualities:

  • preference will be given to candidates who have familiarity with sustainability, energy/water efficiency, waste diversion and related conservation practices.
  • experience or personal interest in climate and energy concepts
  • familiarity with UCSF campuses, staff, administrators and student organizations
