Who should apply? Both Undergrad and Graduate Students
  • Prepare and administer the individual giving department budget in alignment with the Chapter’s and Society’s strategic plans; monitor department costs to ensure that appropriate controls are implemented.
  • Develop with annual giving campaign budgets, timelines and action plans with goals and tactics.
  • Research, identify and cultivate research major gifts to the chapter.
  • Plan and oversee the development, preparation and production of marketing materials and information promoting traditional campaigns.
  • Develops strategies for individual solicitations; creates proposals and works with prospects to ensure effective cultivation and solicitation.
  • Develops and manages a tracking system to monitor and report individual giving status including solicitations, responses, needs and gifts.
  • Develop, train and staff volunteer committees where appropriate
  • Develop strategic overall campaign objectives, work plans, budgets, goals, schedules and timetables and prepares reports as required including budget activity and status.
  • Research campaign donors, participants and sponsor prospects •Assist and support the committees in the solicitation of products, services and cash donations
  • Establish and maintain development department donor files, which include prospect resources, project records, tactics and strategies.
  • Assist with the management and cultivation of volunteers for the Board of Trustees
  • Represent the Society and the Chapter appropriately and accurately to the public
Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong interpersonal and management skills.
  • Bachelor degree and experience in management and/or marketing.
  • Minimum five to seven years experience in fund development including annual giving, individual fund development, including major gifts and personal solicitations, corporate and foundation work and volunteer management.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills.

The Director of Donor Relations is responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive approach to the Chapter’s individual giving revenue streams. The Chapter currently raises almost $6 million annually. The Director of Donor Relations needs to ensure growth within and among campaigns, and cultivate and steward our donor community.
