Who should apply? Both Undergrad and Graduate Students
  • Attend and help out at all weddings - including meeting vendors, overseeing load-in of rentals and taking inventory
  • Printing Menus/ Place cards/other wedding collateral
  • Creating Timelines Handling vendor meals or other special needs at the wedding
  • Accompany Wedding Designer on site visits – take notes, sketch floor plans, and more.
  • Working with the on-site event manager to help with vendor meals, communication with kitchen & service, and other tasks as needed.
  • Prop lists for tastings (as approved by event designer)
  • Answering phones, taking messages
  • Assist with Facebook/Twitter/Blog efforts
Skills & Abilities:
  • Candidate must be highly detail-oriented
  • Well spoken, polished and motivated
  • Driver License and clean driving record
  • Internet/MS Office Suite Savvy required
  • Interest in food, weddings, events, production, design
  • Knowledge of CAD desired
  • Experience in the hospitality/restaurant industry a plus, but not required.

As the Wedding Production Intern, your duties are to support the Wedding Designer and Assistant with event production and sales and marketing efforts to help the wedding department execute successful wedding experiences for our clients.

Primary responsibilities are related to Event Production. Event production duties include:

  • Creating manager notes, prop lists, seating charts, timelines and other internal & external communication documents.
  • Sourcing materials for and printing menus, place cards and other collateral, procuring liquor licenses, updating floor plans, coordinating contracted vendors.
  • Communication with venue clients to coordinate rental deliveries, load-in schedule, ect.
  • Schedule and attend site-visits.
  • Manage TASTE staff and perform necessary coordination duties on-site at all scheduled weddings and events; responsible for the production and set-up of consultations and tastings, and updating the conference room calendar and routing events accordingly.
  • Other onsite and event production related tasks as necessary.

Secondary responsibilities are related to Sales support.

Sales support duties include:

  • Assisting with sales proposals and wedding presentation development.
  • Managing and updating wedding client mailing lists, creating post-wedding recaps, help with scheduling and preparation of consultations, tastings, meetings and client entertainment events.
  • Other sales support duties include attending and/or assisting with client tastings and meetings.

Tertiary responsibilities relate to marketing support.

Marketing support efforts include:

  • Assisting with added value marketing events, research wedding trends and blogging topics, contributing to the Tastebuds wedding blog, maintain current list of wedding venues and contact list.
  • Help update and maintain marketing/sales tools such as photo books and slide shows.
