Responsibilities:
  • Perform analysis of existing game Content Development tools and processes: usability, workflow, productivity, predictability
  • Research and develop prototype software tool projects addressing real issues.
  • Work closely with Tools Group, including integration with existing Tools Group software as appropriate
  • Participate in SCRUM project methodology, with daily updates and bi-weekly reviews of running software
  • Exhibit independent thinking, motivated and effective programming
Skills & Abilities:
  • BA or BS in Computer Science or equivalent major
  • Experience with C++/Java
  • Unix/Linux experience
  • Web development skills a plus
  • Excellent language and presentation skills
  • Experience with OO design principles
  • Interest in UI design and frameworks

Intern Program Overview: The LeapFrog Intern Program offers undergraduate and graduate students an exciting insider’s view of LeapFrog operations and provides an opportunity to gain valuable real-world experience while exploring the many career opportunities at the Emeryville, California based company. During this program, you can look forward to collaborating with other LeapFroggers on products and projects that are important to the business, networking cross-functionally, attending Intern-only brown-bag sessions, access to our executives, and fun activities with other interns. Position Overview: As an Intern in the Software Tools Group, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience and become an essential part of the team. Interns will be involved in the ongoing design and development of software to support the creation of audio, graphics, and game design assets used in LeapFrog toys and software. You will get the opportunity to interact with the technical staff on desktop and client-server applications. In addition, you will meet with our creative and educational designers to help design the next generation of solutions.
