• Provide tutoring services for undergraduate students seeking assistance with undergraduate level business and math courses.
• Facilitate tutorial sessions with individual students or small groups.
• Prepare and present workshops or projects which may occur outside of the scheduled 12 hours

Must be a SF State student.

Preference will be given to applicants who have completed the majority of the following courses (or equivalent courses from other universities), and passed them with a grade of B or better:

• College Algebra (MATH 60/70)
• Business Calculus (DS 110 or Math 110)
• Business Finance (FIN 350)
• Business Statistics I (DS 212)
• Operations Management (DS 412)
• All other business and math courses listed on transcripts will also be taken into consideration.
• Have an overall 3.0 GPA or better.
• International students must refer to SF State’s policies for hiring international students.
• Be patient and willing to support students.
• Be able to empathically and interactively communicate with others.
• Be able to speak in front of large audiences. 

PLEASE NOTE: You do not need to have a major in Business in order to be a Business tutor. Be able to demonstrate to CARP Administration that you have the skills necessary for tutoring the majority of the Business courses listed above.

Business Tutor at CARP (at $10.50/hr) Applicants must be able to commit to working for the Spring 2013 Semester, and preference will be given to those who can commit to additional semesters. Applicants must also be able to work at least 12 hours/week during CARP’s regular tutoring hours (Monday-Thursday 4 PM- 8 PM, and Friday 11 AM - 2 PM).
