Responsibilities:
  • Actively work with the sales team to execute a strategic approach for key accounts
  • Research new markets and business opportunities ( approximately 20% of your time)
  • Prospecting/gathering target client data through calling (80% of time on the phone)
  • Generate high volume calls and emails
  • Pass qualified opportunities and set up meetings for the sales team
  • Manage and coordinate quarterly email marketing campaign
  • Record all activity in CRM to ensure efficient lead pass and run regular reports as necessary
Skills & Abilities:
  • Bright, articulate, genuine, a natural "people" person
  • Reliable and punctual; tardiness is not tolerated
  • Highly self-motivated and well organized
  • Ability to proactively and aggressively target and call both warm and cold contacts
  • Polished, easy speaking voice and phone skills; excellent written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office applications and a quick learner of new software
  • College degree or working on it (business degree preferred)
  • Available to dedicate 3-4 days per week, 4-6 hours a day
Details:

Terabit Systems is an established reseller of new and refurbished IT networking hardware.

We specialize in the sales of leading brands such as Cisco, Brocade, and Juniper Networks, and we’re located right in the center of San Francisco’s Dog Patch district.

We are looking for a college educated (grad or studying), enthusiastic, and driven individual to penetrate strategic accounts and develop new business opportunities.

Your main responsibilities will be to introduce Terabit’s products to target accounts through calling and email campaigns and set-up appointments for senior sales reps.

This is a great opportunity for business students looking for hands-on experience in sales. You will be working closely with two successful sales reps who will provide direction and help you fine tune your strategy.

A background understanding of IT network hardware is ideal, but a dedication to consistent effort and professionalism in sales will be more critical in your success with the team.

This position is part-time (20+ hours/week) in our San Francisco office conveniently located along bus and rail. Favorable compensation package: $20/hour, plus generous bonuses for appointments set and new customer sales.
