Year Up is an innovative year-long education and training program that provides students (ages 18-24) with a unique combination of college-level writing, technical, and professional skills courses and corporate internships.

Through becoming a part of a community of high expectations and high support, and developing skills through classroom and hands-on professional experience, Year Up empowers students to reach their full potential.

Tutoring Opportunity

If you would like to join the journey of a young adult building their potential, please consider becoming a volunteer tutor. Tutors meet one-on-one with students once a week. They guide students through assignments and homework in their Business Communications classes.

Specifically, they coach students in important reading and critical thinking skills; study skills and test-taking strategies; and assist them with professional business practices.

Our tutoring sessions run on Tues/Thurs, 3:45 - 4:45 p.m. and Wed, 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. We ask that tutors commit to tutoring for at least two months.
