Responsibilities:

This is a temp-to-hire position on our Accounting team, which is part of our larger Finance and Accounting Department.

The Accounts Payable Analyst’s key responsibilities are handling accounts payable processes and supporting the monthly/quarterly close processes for our U.S. and world-wide accounts.

This position reports directly to the Accounting Associate.

Responsibilities

  • Process all account payables, encompassing domestic and international invoices, staff expense reimbursement and credit card transactions, accurately and timely in accordance with organization policy and procedure
  • Print checks and initiate wire transfers for invoices in local and foreign currencies
  • Process employee expense reports and corporate credit card transactions via online application, the Bank of America Works System, and upload data into the accounting software, Epicor
  • Provide supporting documents on intercompany invoices and transactions
  • Maintain thorough and accurate vendor files
  • Serve as point of contact, respond to questions, and provide training on invoices, expense reports, and credit card transactions
  • Provide support of the monthly and quarterly close process and account reconciliation
  • Ensure data integrity of all transactions in Epicor Maintain W-9 documents and assist with 1099 process
  • Assist with the annual audit Initiate and lead special projects such as analyzing the efficiency of worldwide processes at Room to Read
  • Other duties as necessary
Skills & Abilities:

Qualifications

  • Required B.S. in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum 1 year accounting experience or relevant internship experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Results and highly detail-oriented, accurate and organized
  • Adept at using Excel and Word
  • Prior success working closely and building relationships with diverse groups of people
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced, growth-oriented global or regional organization
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously and take initiative
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States; no sponsorship provided

Preferred

  • Epicor Enterprise knowledge
  • Experience living or working internationally
