Responsibilities:

The Marketing Intern will have a key role in helping to create the public face of BARS+TONE. S/he will be responsible for assisting and helping to coordinate marketing initiatives with a special focus on Social Media engagement and the creation of marketing collateral. As such, s/he will help coordinate marketing activities, including marketing materials and presentation templates; help coordinate and schedule marketing and advertising campaigns; review and analyze current social media engagement efforts and develop and manage the social media engagement strategy.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • In coordination with the sales team, map out potential customers & competitors.
  • Execute social media engagement strategy.
  • Assist in writing Blog entries and managing a Content Calendar.
  • Manage the creation and distribution of e-newsletter.
  • Coordinate marketing functions (i.e. creation of brochures, branding elements, direct mailing pieces, events, etc.).
  • Provide status reports to management on overall marketing activities.
  • Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Correspondence to prospects and clients, especially through social media outlets, but also including telephone and e-mail.
  • Participate in industry-appropriate networking events.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power Point.
  • Graphic Design skills, including skills in Adobe Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator considered a plus.
  • Demonstrates good organizational and multi-tasking skills and is detailed oriented.
  • Proven ability to think strategically, solid presentation skills, polished demeanor and ability to assist on national brands.
  • Self-confidence, flexibility and a sense of humor.
