Graduate Programs : Overview

San Francisco State University’s College of Business offers graduate learning experiences designed to build the leadership and business skills necessary to succeed in small and large organizations.
Students may focus their studies broadly across all functions of an organization, or more narrowly on one area of emphasis. Programs are offered on a part-time or full-time basis and most courses are offered on weekday afternoons and evenings.
Opportunities to work on independent projects with professors are available. Classroom experiences offer a mix of lectures, case studies, simulations, group projects, local business projects and guest speakers. Study Abroad opportunities are available at many international universities.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)
The MBA program provides students with a broad overview of management and business skills with areas of emphasis available. The SF State Master of Business Administration is accredited by the Association for the Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA)
The MS in Accountancy program is a specialized degree program which allows students to select advanced requirements from a range of accounting electives and prepare for the CPA exam. This degree program is flexible, based on individual needs, and thus is suitable either for students who have no prior accounting or business course work, or those with undergraduate business degrees. Working with an academic advisor, students take courses to specialize in this specific functional area of business. This program provides an opportunity for students to specialize more extensively in accounting, including financial accounting, auditing, managerial accounting, taxation, and accounting information systems. The SF State Master of Science in Accountancy is accredited by the Association for the Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA)
The EMBA program provides an accelerated, part-time MBA program for working professionals who have five or more years of working experience. MBA MIB Dual Degree
The MBA MIB is a dual degree delivered by the Universities of Nice-Sophia Antipolis and San Francisco State. Upon completion of the program, students receive an MBA degree from the College of Business at San Francisco State University. Students also receive a masters in international business (MIB) diploma from the Business Management Institute of the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis, one of France’s top public universities.
