Graduate Business Programs : MSA : Course Requirements
After acceptance to the Master of Science in Accountancy program (MSA), students complete a series of Career Skills & Communications workshops and take or waive six foundation courses. These courses prepare the student for the program's ten advanced requirements.
Career Skills & Communications Workshops
Pursuing an MSA is more than just obtaining a graduate degree, it's about enhancing career prospects and professional communication styles. Students must complete a series of four workshops in the first semester of the program and learn how to strategically manage their career and practice effective presentation & communications skills. These required workshops are free of charge and students are automatically placed on the class rosters since there are no units associated with the sessions. See sample list of workshops
Foundation courses offer students the opportunity to learn the basic elements of business prior to studying advanced level courses. Students who have recently completed business courses with satisfactory grades, may be able to waive some courses. For more information, see MSA Foundation Courses and waiving policy
The advanced portion of the MS in Accountancy program consists of 30 units of core courses and electives.
For more information, see Advanced Courses
