| Detail | Communication workshops are a graduation requirement for Fall 2012 incoming graduate business students and ought to be fulfilled within the first semester of study. Sessions are held at the SF State Downtown Campus, 5th floor. In this training, we explore and practice skills vital to active listening. Once active listening is mastered, we then create more effective messages that can influence others and create a call to action. Learn critical speaking and listening skills by practicing the following models in an experiential learning environment:
Communication workshops are facilitated by Knute Kallander. Knute has a master’s degree in organizational development and over 15 years of experience in building leadership capacities and teaching communication skills to top level managers and executives. He has coached over 300 employees who were in a transition from being individual contributors to becoming department heads or team leaders. He has an extensive background in non-profit, financial services, and biotech including Providian Financial and Genentech. |
