Gerardo Ungson
Professor, International Business
Professor Gerardo R. Ungson is the Y.F. Chang Endowed Chair, and a professor of international business at San Francisco State University.
His research covers strategies in digital-based environments; global strategic alliances, strategic implementation, organizational design and change; executive compensation; entry market strategies in China; and global strategies of U.S., European, and Asian firms.
His works have been published in 40 papers in academic journals and 5 books. He is an active lecturer in executive management programs in the United States, the Netherlands, Vietnam, and Southeast Asia.
He previously taught at the University of Oregon, the Amos Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth College; the College of Business, University of California, Berkeley; the College of Business, Pennsylvania State University; International University of Japan, Niigata, Japan; and Nijenrode, The Netherlands School of Business.
He received his B.S. in management engineering at Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines in 1969, an M.B.A., Management, and a Ph.D., Business Administration, at Pennsylvania State University in 1978.
