Cloud Computing 101

This presentation is designed to educate and inform people from all walks of life about what cloud computing really is.

The approach is to make the presentation simple and easy to understand, focusing on the fundamentals of cloud computing.

You will leave the seminar with a grounded understanding of cloud computing, including understanding the history of cloud computing, the common terminology used today in cloud computing, some of the challenges companies may face moving to the cloud, and how they are addressed.

About the Speaker

Tom Pintacsi, founder of BigCloud Technology LLCTom Pintacsi, founder of BigCloud Technology LLC, has over 30 years of experience in the information technology industry. Tom began his career providing hardware support services for companies like HP, and over the years worked his way up to the role of CEO of Ideal Computer Services.

After two decades in hardware support, Tom transitioned into the software support field, applying his leadership skills as the director of support services for Allegro Consultants where he lead a team of software support engineers providing operating system level support services for customers like AT&T, the former EDS (now HP) and American Airlines.

Tom has pooled his experience and knowledge together and is now applying his skills, knowledge and expertise to the exciting new field of cloud computing.
