CIO Executive Development Program
The CIO Executive Development Program helps IT professionals develop the necessary skills to be successful in their jobs and advance their career opportunities. The program is offered in partnership with HMG Strategy and the College of Business at San Francisco State University.
The program includes business-focused content that will complement your technical skills, such as strategy and business alignment, planning and management, budgeting and tracking, leadership and communication planning, governance, and IT innovation.
Special Guest Instructor Mark Sunday, CIO, SVP, Oracle Corporation
Mark Sunday is chief information officer and senior vice president at Oracle, responsible for the information technology infrastructure used across the company globally.
Mark’s responsibilities have also included the operational infrastructure for Oracle’s on-demand product offerings.
Prior to joining Oracle in 2006, Mark was senior vice president and chief information officer of Siebel Systems. With more than 30 years in the high technology industry, he has served in various IT leadership positions at Motorola, ST Microelectronics, and Texas Instruments.

Who Should Attend
CIOs, IT executives and personnel identified as leaders who seek a professional education program to increase their competencies and continue lifelong professional learning. Course content is written and presented by Silicon Valley CIOs.
Action-Oriented Program
The program is action oriented with practical models, and actual working artifacts from the desks of CIOs. With all of this available, you will be working with the actual tools used by executives currently in a CIO role. These case studies will allow you to return to your organization with new perspectives and deliverables.
Experienced CIOs
Experiences of CIOs, as well as your own experiences, are shared and discussed with peers and other executives. Each participant receives a one-on-one follow-up meeting with one of the CIOs to address questions, increase your insight, and improve your experience.
