Preventive Maintenance & Tips
Back up your computer regularly on external media, ideally a USB flash drive or hard drive. Contact the Help Desk for recommendations on backup solutions. This saves time and money in the event your computer crashes. The cost to recover data, if possible, off-site is around $2000.
If you suspect a problem, (e.g. viruses, noises from hard drive) turn off your computer immediately to prevent further damage. Email the Business Computing Help Desk.
