Lutfus Sayeed
Professor, Information Systems
Lutfus Sayeed is professor of information systems in the College of Business at San Francisco State University.
His teaching interests include management of information technology for strategic advantage, computer networking, database management, and Web-based business application development.
He is the principal investigator (PI) of a 2009-2011 BIE Department of Education grant. He has been the PI of two Title VI grants in the past.
His research focuses on information sharing in groups using computer mediated communications systems, information technology sourcing decisions, and impacts of information technology.
He has published numerous research articles in journals, conference proceedings and refereed book chapters. His works have appeared in major MIS journals such as Information Systems Research, Decision Sciences, and Information and Management.
He has served as a reviewer for MIS Quarterly, ISR, Small Group Research, CACM and others.
He has taught in universities in Bangladesh, France, and Mexico. He has also served as a visiting faculty member in Griffith University in Australia. As a Fulbright Fellow, he taught in the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
